Every Friday we have pizza night! Last week I had a little helper in the kitchen so I decided I should share my pizza dough recipe. I made the dough from scratch, its really easy and my family likes it!
About 1/2 beer warm 🙂 You could also just use hot water…I just like how the beer makes the dough fluffier
First combine the flour mix in a bowl or food processor. Then combine the yeast ingredients in a separate container. Let this mix get nice and foamy, you’ll see.
Once foamy, slowing pour and combine the yeast mix into the flour mix. After that pour the beer or water in slowly. A ball should form. If the mixture is too sticky, add flour, if its too dry add more beer/water.
Once the ball forms, pull it out of the bowl cover a surface with flour and knead.
After that, I put it in a container and let it rise on my counter for at least an hour before rolling.
I cook mine on a pizza stone, so I heat the stone at 375 degrees for about 30mins. Then I pull out the stone, sprinkle it with corn meal, flour my rolling pin and roll out the dough.
Now you are ready to top it with your favorite ingredients (usually it’s just cheese at our house!)and serve!
