Christmas Porch Tour 2016

I now I have shown some sneaks of the inside of my home all done up or Christmas.   My mantle is a winter tree forest, but I have since added some more touches of the reason for the season.  You can see the updated look here:

So before I invite you in, to see the tree in the main living room, I thought you should take a look at the front porch. After all it is the first thing you see when you come to our home. While I tried to stay fairly neutral inside, the front is full of red for the holiday.

Starting at the front door, I absolutely love dressing up this screen for Christmas.  The red really pops off the white.  Adding the garland around the door and 2 wreaths on front, it is too much fun.

I used this hanging greenery inside last year, but it really has found it’s place out front.  I found it at Joann’s fabric last Christmas and the flocking is so perfect for a place that sees no snow.

On the lower half of the door, I have placed this frosted wreath, it has so many great details with the burlap greenery and the adorable cardinal.  And guess what, this was from Walmart! It is so lovely and was also a bargain.  They really do have some nice Christmas decor at reasonable prices.

Next to the door on my wreath holder I have placed a pair of ice skates.  I really do enjoy all the winter wonderland decorations, because that really feels like Christmas to me.  I don’t care if we live in the desert!

The rocking chairs and fence got a holiday makeover, and a snowflake blanket is perfect for cozy mornings on the porch.  I also picked up these cute live pines from Walmart.  My youngest said it was a good idea. And you can’t argue with a 2-year old, right?

Here is a closer look at the fence.  The rustic buckets on here are a great way to change-up the look of the porch for each season.  Add some  seasonal stems and its a whole new look.

The day bed got some new pillow, with a pop of red and a reindeer.  Also placed a couple of faux trees in the olive bucket and chicken coup with some strung lights thrown in.  Adding a little cheer with the sun goes down.

Just for the winter holiday I have swapped out the chalkboard.  So many blessings to share during this season, I wanted the room to share them all.  A reminder for everyone who comes to our door why we celebrate this time of year.

I do hope you enjoyed this little tour around the front porch.  I can’t wait to invite you inside for some hot cocoa and a look at our tree.  Thank you for stopping by, see you again soon!
